Bountiful Ribs Tony Toma, Courtesy from Groupon.

Awesome Ribs at Tony Roma at the Mt Kiara's branch.

I went during lunch and showed them my Groupon purchased voucher, which accounted for half-price for 1 set of Bountiful Beef Ribs / Roma Rack at approximately RM38 instead of RM 77.50.

For a girl who just got healed from minor surgery due to extraction of wisdom teeth, it was pretty hard for me to CHEW, PULL AND BITE the ribs.I was literally exhausted from eating them and I could not finish a small part of the ribs. The side dish : DO NOT order the coleslaw as it is inedible and taste like raw vegetables. The mashed potato was given in a huge portion and tasted excellent ! Oh not to mention, the onion loaf was great as well, but it was a little too much for us to finish. It is preferable to order the Loaf if you have 3-4 people to share it with!

Recommended to share the Roma Rack as one set is a little too much, even for a girl who has a big appetite like me. However, it is possible to finish one Rack by yourself if you do not add any starters or side dishes.

Try it ! Make sure you prepare your tummy for a BIG Meal =)

International Women's Day ! 8/3/12

Today is International Women's Day 2012 !

Quoting from http://www.internationalwomensday.com/about.asp

This special day is to celebrate the past achievements of women from all over the world such as in the area of economic, political and social.

It is such a memorable day that in some countries (China, Russia and Vietnam), they are declared as a public holiday. How awesome is that!

How did I celebrate this special day?

no 1- Express manicure, courtesy of Amante. ( RM 5 ) Mind you, my nails look really awesome now!

no2 - Have a girls' Night out at Vertigo on Ladies Night after class!

Pictures will be uploaded soon after the event !

Let us celebrate how women have transformed throughout the years. It used to be that women can only sit at home, doing household chores and take care of children. They were prohibited to fill in any 'manly' position in the society such as casting their votes, becoming an actor or giving a speech in front of the public.

And now, look what women all over the world has achieved ! =)
To name a few, Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie.

Only My first - Diary

I have started my diary of 'FIRST THINGS' to make life interesting.

Carpe Diem -Let's seize the day!

Day 1 - Terrapins' race. Unfortunately, contrary to popular belief, terrapins do not run slow. Due to their highly active instinct to run away fast and stubborn personality to run away from the track we laid down, it became a terrapin exercise . . .

(P.S - Following this diary, due to some funny and embarrassing moments/ pictures, I will only publish some which achieve the proper standard of decency required. )

Cute, right? I am referring to my brothers, not the terrapins though.

Wisdom Tooth - Extraction a big Yes-yes !

I decided to extract my wisdom tooth last week due to the 'feeling' that my teeth do not have enough space. I got that tingling feeling that  the growth of these wisdom teeth will cause more trouble than I need when I am sitting for the most crucial / torturing exams ever in my life -CLP (well, you can say life-absorbing too).

Steps taken :

1. Do not be afraid to get information on the dentist, price, procedure, possible pain going through the surgery and horror/ pleasant stories from people

2. Make an appointment to consult the dentist or get an x-ray of your teeth. This is where it is determined if you are going to go through a lot of pain in the future or it is as simple as kacang putih. (I was unlucky to have my wisdom teeth, apparently 'they' are not so wise afterall, growing horizontally as opposed to vertically. Thus, they have to be done via minor surgery- might have a lot of pain in the future )         =(

3. Jump to no 6 if you do not need minor surgery. Lucky you!

4. Be brave on the day of the surgery and FEEL THE PAIN when the dentist jab it in your mouth! Let the anaesthetic sink into your system and you will feel NUMB! Eat the painkiller given by the dentist.

5. After the anaesthetic kicks in, you will feel AWESOME. You might get extra jabs again but you will not feel anything but NICE. ADVICE- Close your eyes when the surgery starts which is NOW!

6. Open your mouth as wide as you can and close you eyes the entire time. Stay calm! The whole procedure normally takes 1 hour from the time you enter and eat the painkillers etc.

7. You are good to go from the dentist after the surgery is done.

AFTERMATH - you might feel pain when you talk or swallow. It is like painful sorethroat. Well, I was stubborn and ate chicken (slowly) on the first day. Do not take any hot or warm liquid/ food. Drink a lot of water and get plenty of rest. The pain will go away in days. You might get swelling on your face, so be warned! My face was out of proportion at one time!

Now- I am fully healed. There is no pain after few days and there is NO uncomfortable teeth growing in a weird manner.

=)

I donated my upper wisdom tooth to the DENTAL STUDENTS. Yay! Providing some wisdom via my wisdom tooth?

Minimum wage is a must, but how?

Even Australia has min wage, but of course, they know how to implement it properly.

People in Malaysia have been demanding rights and voicing out their dissatisfaction.

I agree with the implementation of min wage law. I might be biased as to supporting this implementation because I am another fresh grad. However, quoting from Malaysian Insider, fresh grads are competing neck to neck, not with their other colleagues, rather with the expensive lifestyle. Heck, we might not have the luxury to buy branded hand-phones or items but the extra cash in the account might go to good use for savings and maybe a little convenience of transportation to go to work would do the employees and employers some benefit.

Yes, cheap labour is a good thing to business and employers as it reduces cost and etc. Some might even say that some fresh grads or local workers are not as good or hardworking as the foreign workers.

The idea is striking a balance between the interests of employees and employers. For far too long, employees are subject to mercy of the employers and their market terms. Of course, we might erroneously pass the law with some 'mistakes' here and there. That is how it goes around here, trial and error, subject to complaints and the people's voice.

govern or to be governed, more lies or truth

Our people has to come to a sense of realisation that the people holds the power. WE ARE INDEED ANGRY with the corruption and trails of lies.

Can we still do something?

I have always wondered why am I so eager to migrate to another country other than this.

Now I know.

But should I move - taking the easy way out or stay, making a little vibration or add another footprint to this history of our nation?
